Airport Radio Facilities Remote Control and Monitoring Complex (KDKU RTO)
Purpose
KDKU RTO is intended for remote monitoring and control of the airport objects equipped with PAR-10 homing beacons, SP-80 landing systems or with other flights supporting radio facilities.
Equipment components
1. Technical supervisor automated working position deployed at the ATC center (TWR), including:
- Pentium II based PC with software;
- Central switch unit (BTsK) TALM.465645.008.
2. Execution units, installed on the control objects, including execution units (BIP) TALM.465561.020 or execution unit boards built-in into the Customer equipment on agreement.
3. Communication channels between the center switch unit and execution unit, partially or completely provided by the Customer.
Main functions

Acquisition and processing of the control objects, KDKU equipment and communication channels status and operability information;
- Transmission of the messages and control commands to the control objects via two
communication channels (main and backup);
- Automatic communication channels switching;
- Automatic switching to KDKU backup remoted equipment and/or backup communication
channels with the control objects in case of the equipment or communication channels
failure;
- Transmission of the information on control objects status and operability to the technical supervisor automated working position and, when necessary, to supplementary remote equipment;
- Visual and audio signaling on emergency state of controlled objects, communications channels and also the technician operations;
- Fixing and recording of any system changes and technician operations;
- Statistical processing of the equipment status and operability information.
